After discovering our beautiful rottweiler Pepper had developed a sensitive stomach after illness in early 2020, we decided to do everything we could to keep her fit and healthy. Very quickly we discovered that main meals where easy to source but treats were not and after much annoyance and irritation, we discovered most of the commercial dog treats on the market where either full of artificial ingredients, that made Pepper feel awful or were very expensive; so, we decided to investigate the possibility of making our own treats.
Fast forward to 2021 and after much investigation into what is beneficial to maintain a healthy dog, we managed to produce a delightful treat that is human grade, with no artificial ingredients or additives and thankfully to our delight Pepper loved them.
As time went by and with the addition of Loki to our family, we quickly noticed that not only our dogs were enjoying the treats but so were the dogs of our families and friends, so we decided to take a leap of faith and in 2022 KEWs Pet Treats was born.
So here we are now, making a nutritious, healthy, handmade treats that are low in calories and made only from the best ingredients that UK farms have to offer.
